Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Twine collects, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated: October 26, 2026.

Who we are

Twine is a service of Helpful Intelligence (Peter Van Dijck, Calle Circon 5, Madrid, Spain). We are responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@twine.helpfulintelligence.co.

What we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address and a hashed password.
  • Posts and projects: the threads you write or have your agent write, their schedule and status, and your projects. You decide what you post, and you are responsible for it.
  • Connected accounts: for Threads, the access token Meta gives us when you connect, and your account name. For Bluesky, your handle and the app password you give us. We use them only to post for you.
  • Billing data: payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store your card number.
  • Usage data: how many projects and accounts you have, and basic information about how the site and app are used, collected with privacy-friendly analytics.
  • Messages: emails you send us, and emails we send you about your account.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service you signed up for.
  • To handle billing and account administration.
  • To answer your questions and support you.
  • To understand how the service is used and improve it.
  • To send you product emails you can unsubscribe from.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run Twine: hosting (Laravel Cloud), payments (Stripe), email and analytics. They process data on our behalf. We do not sell personal data.

Threads and Bluesky

When you connect an account and post, we send your posts to Meta (Threads) and Bluesky, which publish them under your account. Once published, a post is also governed by their terms and privacy policies. You can disconnect an account at any time, and you can revoke Twine's access in your Threads or Bluesky settings (for Bluesky, by deleting the app password).

AI assistants and the MCP server

If you connect an AI assistant to Twine through the MCP server, that assistant can read and change the projects, accounts' details and posts in your account, and can post on your connected accounts. What the assistant provider does with that data is governed by your agreement with them.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data, except what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Write to hello@twine.helpfulintelligence.co. If you are in the EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell account holders by email.
