Why Twine

Why I'm building Twine.

I'm Peter Van Dijck. I run several products, each with its own Threads and Bluesky accounts, and I wanted to post threads about them from my AI agent.

The problem

I run a few products. Each one has its own Threads and Bluesky accounts, and I have a personal account that talks about all of them. When something ships, I want a short thread about it on the right accounts, on both networks.

Doing that by hand is slow. Threads allows 500 characters per post and Bluesky 300, so the same thread often needs splitting twice. Then there is the reply chain, built one reply at a time, in four tabs, for each product.

The tools I looked at are built around a calendar and a web editor, and priced per channel or per seat. That adds up quickly when you have several small accounts. And I do not write my posts in a web editor anymore. I write them with an AI agent, which already knows what I just built.

What Twine is

Twine is deliberately small. It posts threads to Threads and Bluesky, and that is all it does. You connect your accounts, group them into projects (one per product or brand, and an account can be in several), and post a thread to a project. It goes to every account in it.

Every post and reply on an account goes out after a random gap of 30 to 120 seconds, so a thread arrives the way a person would post it, not all at once. It goes out within the hour, or after a time you pick.

The main way to use it is your own AI agent, over MCP. Claude, Codex or any MCP client can create projects, connect Bluesky accounts, post a thread, and check on it. There is a small web app too, for connecting Threads (that is a Meta login), and for seeing what was posted.

Why you might use it

  • You run more than one product or brand, each with its own accounts.
  • You work with an AI agent and want posting to be one sentence.
  • You post on both Threads and Bluesky and want one thread to go to both.
  • You want a price based on projects and accounts, not on seats.

Why you might not

Twine has no analytics, no content calendar, no approval flows and no other networks. If you need those, or you manage dozens of client accounts across many platforms, use a broader social media tool. There are good ones. Twine has no free plan either, only a 15-day trial.

Who is behind it

Twine is built by me, Peter Van Dijck, at Helpful Intelligence, in Madrid, Spain. If you have a question or a feature you need, write to hello@twine.helpfulintelligence.co. It goes to me.

Try it with one thread.
