AI agents

Connecting your AI agent

Connect Claude, Codex or another MCP client to Twine, sign in with OAuth, and post threads in plain language.

Twine has an MCP server. MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants work with the tools you use. Connect Claude, Codex or another MCP client and you can create projects, post threads, schedule them and check on them by asking.

The web app shows the same projects, accounts and posts. The agent is the faster way when you already have it open.

The server

The MCP server lives at:

https://twine.helpfulintelligence.co/mcp

Connect a client

Add Twine to your client as a remote MCP server using that URL. The first time you connect, you sign in to your Twine account through OAuth in your browser. The agent only sees your account.

Many clients take a configuration like this:

{
    "mcpServers": {
        "twine": {
            "url": "https://twine.helpfulintelligence.co/mcp"
        }
    }
}

Claude, Codex and other MCP clients each have their own place for this. Check your client's documentation for how to add a remote server.

Tools

Tool What it does
list_projects Lists your projects and the accounts in each.
create_project Creates a project, optionally with accounts.
update_project Renames a project or changes its accounts.
delete_project Deletes a project. The accounts stay connected.
list_accounts Lists your connected Threads and Bluesky accounts.

get_post Shows one post: its status and a link for each account.
cancel_post Cancels a post that has not gone out yet.

Connecting Threads

Threads accounts are connected in the web app, because that is a login with Meta. Ask your agent to connect a Threads account and it gives you a link to that page. See Accounts.

Things you can ask

  • "List my Twine projects."
  • "Connect my Bluesky account @acme.bsky.social with this app password."
  • "Turn this changelog into a four-post thread and post it to the Acme project."
  • "Post this to the Acme project tomorrow at 9:00 Madrid time."
  • "Did the thread go out? Give me the links."
  • "Cancel the scheduled thread."

Keep an eye on what it does

An agent posts on your accounts, in your name. Read the thread it wrote before you let it post, and check the agent's plan before you let it post to many accounts at once.
